What is the procedure to apply for Australian PR 189 skill assessment and what documents should be attached?

By | April 9, 2020

Australia Skilled Independent Sub-class 189 visa is for those skilled workers who are not having any nomination from a state or territory of Australia, but are willing to work and settle in the country. Australia PR visa 189 requires you to be highly skilled with a good work experience in the job profile which is in demand in Australia as listed under Medium and Long Term Strategic Skill List (MLTSSL 2020).

To apply for Australia PR visa, you need to submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) to the government of Australia. Once you submit your EOI, it will remain in Skillselect and will be valid for a period of 2 years. Skill select will calculate your total Australia immigration points out of 100. The minimum score which makes your EOI eligible for assessment is 60 points. Thus, you will be ranked according to your score test in the Australia Immigration point test which is calculated on the basis of:

· Age

· Educational Qualification

· Work Experience

· Relevant Skills

· Language Ability

· Other factors

Australia Points are calculated on Australia Point System

After reviewing your EOI, if selected, you’ll be informed for the same. However, you can still check your points score in EOI but you will not be able to view rank on which you are placed because of change in entry and exit of people in the SkillSelect.

Additionally, you are required to submit relevant documents like complete application form, passport, and other important documents along with your Expression of Interest.
